I am so sad to hear about Alloura Jordan-Zion, who passed away today. For those who are not familiar with her, she is a ballroom legend who helped reinvent the dramatic performance style of vogue (many of what you are seeing on America's Best Dance Crew is Alloura). Alloura's influence on voguing could be compared Michael Jackson's influence on pop dancing. Alloura changed the game, creating several clones after her.Labels: Ballroom

I know we all love the celebs with their gossip and drama, but please check out my interview with Tim'm West, a multi-talented man who is a rapper, poet, HIV-positive, and, most importantly, truthful. It's one of these interviews that was so inspiring that I know it's diffcult to even translate in words how insightful and sincere West was. Be sure to check it out and pass it on.Labels: Interviews
