Has anyone else given the side-eye to these new Lifetime commercials promoting the latest season of Project Runway? The only person who talks more than once is the black gay guy, Anthony Williams. His line, "It is hell being black, gay in the ghetto!" has gotten some cackles across the web... lil' do they know how truthful he is! Also, the squealing and "I'm stacked, packed and ready to attack!"
I am sure Williams is just being himself, and he clearly has a great personality for television, but it's laughable to see the reality show pimp one of their token black folks so aggressively -- especially when they have never had a black or Latin winner in the history of Project Runway and the designers of color sometimes get bizarre comments like, "That is hoochie." Umm, okay. Let's just hope Anthony Williams isn't kicked off by the third episode.
Project Runway airs Thursday at 10pm on Lifetime. Check out the preview.
